Hi all,
i have seen a few minis in mags and at shows that have the old school kinda spoiler looking things on the back window, they are similar to the rear window of the exige. does anyone know what they are called and where to get them from.
Pic of the exige below.

Yep rear screen louvre/louver. Very 70s, very cool :-

Made by AutoPlas I bought mine new from them 5 or so years ago. They crop up on Ebay from time to time.

Clips that slide under the rear window rubber and stick to the glass.

I'm thinking about one of these too. I'm finding it difficult to get many pictures of how they look on the car. Especially on one with a smoothed boot lid.

Here's another pic for anyone interested.

I'm assuming the advantage of them is that rain doesn't fall/roll directly down the rear window, seeing as it has no wiper. Or is it not designed for that at all? Lol.

they were supposed to help with aerodynamics.... how, god knows but hubby had a capri with one on and it was by a company called auto aerodynamics.... self explanatory.
I fancy one myself, my neighbour has contrbuted some old mini bits such as dials etc and said to me, i had a nice louvre for that mini and some plastic door rain stops but just a few weeks before you got that mini, i took them to the tip!
im a tad gutted!

how do they fit on?

if you read a little futher up some chap who has one tells you how they fit.

they were also designed to keep the sun of the rear windo making it easier to see and also keeps the car cool aswell as for the aerodynamics.
I think they look awsome and i really want one!!
