I'm having a bit of a subframe mounting crisis!
Today I looked at the tower mounts. Well the bolt on the passenger side isn't pushing down on the bush and washer at all (theres a mm of play at least between the bolt head and washer). The bolt won't tighten any further, and the driver's side is fine.
I unbolted the passenger side tower bolt and the bush was.. well knackered.. it was basically a rubber washer, since the lip that goes into the hole was a) torn B) squashed and c) only a few mm deep.
Finally the hole in the bulkhead that the bush goes in wasn't PERFECTLY round, had a slight misshape in it.
Can any body take some pictures of a) tower bolt in position, B) bush, c) hole in the bulkhead that the bush and bolt go into..
What do I do about my problem? Get a new set of bushes? What about the hole in the bulkhead? Also is the hole meant to have a just sharp edge kinda thing? won't that rip the bush? What if with the new bush in place the bolt head still doesn't press down enough? Can I use an extra washer?
Really gettin *Drunk or yellow human water* off... :nugget:

I am using nylon bushes but this shouldn't matter.

Do you have a vertical pic of the hole? Just want to see the shape and flange lip...

Further update on this issue can be found in the Project Minis section under my thread... If anybody could answer the queries there that would be appreciated.
Cheers
