79 gt dragged from a field in leicester after being sat for nearly ten years.

now coming to the end of its rebuild,just gotta bleed the brakes and a couple of other bits before the mot.

This mini is the muts nuts, saw it last friday and it is an absolute minter.

Is the steering wheel original for a 1275?


yes ,they all had this style although i think it should have a leather rim.But the other gt's i have are all the same and they havn't been messed with .

I just happened to pick this wheel up from stanford hall for a fiver in good nick and i didn't have one.
not saying i wouldn't swap it for a leather rim in this style if i can find one.

should just add,the earlier years did have a different three spoke wheel with a 1275gt centre.But i beleive this is right for this year gt

Not yet, im baring with it for the time being, maybe do next weekend... thinking about getting deep dish superlites at the end of the month so might hold out till i get them.

YES,VERY.
this car has had almost everything.

The front bumper,indicators,headlights and bowls was in excess of 250 quid .Nothing came that cheap on this motor.
most panels were heritage and so were the subframes.The new subframes were blasted and powder coated just to add to my expense.LOL

gt looks mint, absolutely worth every penny, im jelous and i think so are a lot of other people, a proper mini rebuild if ever i did see one!
