Dips by how much and for how long?

Have you adjusted the throttle stop?

And have you adjusted the throttle cable correctly?

it will dip from say 800 down to 600-700 then back up to 800 in about 3 secounds sorta like bouncing.
I havnt touch the cable or throttle stop should i adjust them?

Cheers

how throughly did you clean the ICV? did you remove it and clean it or just spray some cleaner into the black housing? I blasted carb cleaner up into the motor housing several times and some violent shaking, then blasted it a few more times with electrical contact cleaner to wash out the carb cleaner.

the only sensor that is really tied to the ICV is the coolant sensor, but if that went bad then your radiator fan would run all the time.

I might think that if you had disconnected the batt before the rebuild, then the ecu is still in the learning process.

yer i removed it and sprayed some carb cleaner on it. gave it a good cleaning.
nah the fan works fine.

this is only happping when it gets hot so maby something is leaking?
the ecu could be learning still but its be about 3,000 miles now.

i was gonna see if i replace the ICV if it helps but there a bit expensive and no one has one in stock lol.

might try swaping the throttle bodies as i have heard the rover plastic ones crack sumtimes.

any sugestions would be good?

cheers
