Think I may try and ascertain if I really need all that stuff, due to cost!
I want to keep 10" wheels so may try find some suitable cooper S calipers and then buy the disks/pads/CV joints new. This way there will be less work than changing the shafts etc. Can always do the 4pot upgrade at a later date.

Probably best, plus your also get more our of your 1275, as you'll be able to use the engine a little more as ( I hope ) at the moment you're probably holding back a bit because of the confidence level in the brakes... 
If you want to keep the classic look then stick with the AP calipers, but for the not too many pennies more the alloy 4 pots are stunning, I have set on mine and they are truely awesome, not only are the brakes better, but they also knock pounds of the un-spung weight providing even better handling.
