hi,
is it possible to swap all of my standard rubber hoses for stainless hoses?which ones would i not be able to change?i guess vacuum :erm: any others?
just think they'd brighten the engine bay up a bit, and i reckon they'd last longer?right or not?
thanx

If you're talking about the rubber brake hoses, then they will outlast braded hoses, basically because of the materials they are made of. But there's nothing wrong with braded hoses ( I use them ).

As for the others you can get overbraid kits and also braided pipes to order.

You can also get bright silicon lines for all hose applications (vacuum, emmissions, oil & water etc) except the brakes and clutch. You can get silicon covered braided hoses for these however (like the lovely Hell lines on my brake M/C, hhhmmmmmnn.) to maintain a colour scheme if that's what you want to do.

As most have said or implied, the braided hoses are commonly just a kit that covers standard hoses. Installing these is a personal choice. They don't add anything to performance. If you're on a budget, I'd save the money for some honest "go faster" bits... but its purely a personal choice.

because of the makeup of the stainless braided hoses, if you want to use them for oil lines or fuel lines you'll have to have proper threaded unions, you cant just buy a length of braided hose and cut it up and stick it on.
