Plenty of time to find a big shipping crate to send yourself over in.

i have been every year so far, since i was a little lad, and on the first year we lead the cruise around newquay consisting of over 200 mini's. awsome feeling!athough newquays one way system couldn't really handle it...
as for date etc, its always the first weekend in may, so this yeah it will be the 2-4th may- but it pays to go down on the friday(1st) for no extra charge. this way you get fri nite in newquay, the best camping spot right in the middle and so many people decide to go early now that trevalque gets quite full when the second wave of happy campers arrive from london etc...
