Re-carpeted the whole inside, made some alloy foot plates and the alloy plate around the gear stick.

Got my all in one Type R rev, oil temp, oil press, water temp and shift light.
I'm going to get a new face made for a Smiths 160 speedo to match the Type R clock as soon as I find someone that can do so.

And I just like this pic :)

Like the alloy foot plates look well made. Would definately look better with the Smiths speedo matched to the Type r Rev counter.

Love how this project is shaping up!

How did you do that with the gear lever? I've had the gator off mine before and there is some foam stuff on top of the ball. Did you just remove that and polish it up before putting that nice plate over it?

Looks fantastic!

Also, where did you get that gauge?

I don't at the moment but when I find time I'm going to get a colour match to touch a few areas up on the inside, so as soon as I know I will post it in the topic.

Thanks, glad you like it.

Yer I took off the ball and polished it when I put in a quick shift stick, i left the foam on but under the carpet, then made the alloy plate and matched the holes to the original ones that held down the plastic gear stick cover.

And the gauge, eBay, £36, It's quite a big clock at 5" but should look nice once I've got it sat in the dash and matched a Smiths 130 speedo.

Too many plans, not enough money, haha. My next major plans are to get a cage in it and to get me 1275 in. But yeh, the list of plans is never ending.

Hey, wish I'd known sooner, I'd have come along. Although I did go down to Donnington for the big jumble.

Is there any clubs around the Sheffield area? If you could let me know that would be awsome, I'm only in Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham.

Cheers lad.

Rev counter and shift light is in and working mint, just need to get the Smiths clock white now.
I also bought a KAD copy quick shift, the upgraded one for £30 and that really has made such a awsome difference, the gear change is so much nicer than the other quick shift I bought off eBay.

It's getting there now.

Roll cage is due Tuesday, so that will be getting fitted next weekend.

Went to Bingley Hall and really enjoyed it, my wallet didn't though.

Got myself a few chrome bits, adjustable lower wishbone arms, full set of ball joints, superfins and some other bits and bobs for when the new engine goes in.

Here's some random pics I've taken.

Was going to get the roll cage in a few weeks back but after a pre fit I found that it needed modifying for it to fit 100% correct.

I'm going to spend some serious time cleaning the underside once the engine is out as well as money getting things coated.

And the bump that I had well over 6 weeks ago still isn't sorted, but, got a phone call on Tuesday and it's booked in for Monday. All the parts arrived and its going to be having a Minisport carbon Mk.1 boot lid sprayed, the little chrome light under the plate, stainless rear bumper and a complete set of rear lights.

I also got a new set of alloy plates with plastic 3D letters, they'll look smarter than the ones that are on now.

Also found out the colour of the car: Eclipse Blue (ROVER JNN)

I'll get some pics up once the boot lid is on.
