I've always wanted my grandad's '59 Mk1 MG A, quite probably the nicest example in the country :w00t:

A TR6, French blue, with a hardtop. Please.

Oh, and an Alvis.

Ford was NEVER British. Fords of Dagenham did operate as a wholly independant company for a good many years yes and so the Mk1 Escort is truly a British car but it was ALWAYS owned by Uncle Henry.

As for the suggestion above that a Mk1 Astra is British though, that's just ludicrous. Mk1 Astra = Mk2 (or Mk3, I forget) Opel Kadett, same car, same body, same factories. German.

what the hell ford where never british! Henry ford was from detroit!

However the old escorts and some others can be classed as british cars as they where aimed solely at a british/european market... hence why you dont get them in america.
