i must admit I've been wondering about the 0-60 times of Mini's. It doesn't seem to be something that is very well publicised, I guess its because of the huge number of options when it comes to engines, diff ratios, heads, cams etc etc etc.
I remember reading that a well prepped Miglia with a 1293 will hit sixty in a shade under 4 seconds? Was I reading that correctly?
Was wondering what my 0-60 time would be with the new 1293 engine from Morspeed. I was thinking in the region of 9 seconds, as its only having the phase three cam, stage three head and a 3.44 diff. So i'm not sure, i was maybe thinking about 17.5 sec quarters as well. Its so hard to know though until you actually do it!

Yeah miglias hit 60 in around 3.5 seconds. Keep in mind the enignes are tuned to about 130 hp and can rev very highly. The car weighs next to nothing and these times are achieved on something like 7" wide racing slicks!

My mini: Standard 998cc (with a K&N filter)
1/4 mile in 21 Seconds reaching a speed of 62 mph ish
So 0-60........20 seconds ish, oh yes that good!!!

The standard era turbo mini with 94bhp does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds. i dont think the engine in this is much more powerful than a standard metro turbo is.

not a 1380 or turbo but...
my 1275 mini when it was standard did the 0-60mph in 12 seconds flat.
i have since had the engine tuned to work efficeintly with the rc40 and have not yet tested the 0-60mph time properly... gives me something today when i have some spare time! (not that i have any at the moment)
