You mean an LSW I think. I've used one of them too. Almost as fun as the M16.

That's pretty cool though, more experience than most of joe pubic.

My brother in law shot a small canon when he was a kid - his uncle was an engineer and made it himself. I say he's just a lucky sod. Make a nasty mess of a bunny though... :withstupid:

Hey - anyone know why I can't use 'quick reply' (or is it called fast reply?) on some of these threads? Can it be disabled on certain pages or something?

My old Hawke Airmax wasn't too bad, the Bushnell made it look C**p though.
My eyes aren't shut, I was focusing on the hammer as I was pulling it back... just a bad angel :o

TX200, too heavy for me, so was the HW77, HW80, I like light, point and hit type rifles in all honesty. Short, light and pointable is how I like it :withstupid:

As for glass, I wasn't really that fussed what I had, due to being a student I got what I could afford. The Airmax was my first proper scope, I loved it, but then I got myself the Bushnell, and well, not even a Tasco could match it, the Bushnell was just so light, so compact, best of all, it had mil-dots!

As for getting some nice furiture, for now, my money and time is going towards the Van, shooting is not on my prority list any more, trying to get back into fishing - but its finding time to do that now too....

Can't really argue with that, although the S200 I have now is incredibly light, even with my 2ft long scope on!

I've shot a great many rifles over the years and was talking to bro in law today about it (was very odd that he brought it up after I started thinking about my old 77) and he was saying I should get another 77, I said I'd like to and I preferred shooting that to every other gun I've used. Rapids, daystates (inc the MK 3), a Ripley AR5 once, loads of air arms, webleys, dianas and all the shotguns I've used etc.. Especially after I tuned it - it was amazing. Much nicer than a precharged, even though they are easy to shoot - you just don't feel as involved.

I agree intirly with you!

Recoiling rifles put the challenge back into the sport!
Have you had the 77 lazaglided?

The S200 was always a light rifle, was designed for ladies and smaller framed people... I found it one of the most comfertable rifles, with the added bonus of having a target stock too, just a same they make them with the 2 piece stock, they look super nice with a 1 piece stock.

The S200, is an awesome hunter too, I can't fault it if you fit the 10shot magazine too, absolulty amazing rifle.

But alas, I still like the HW95, out of the box, ok might not be as great as a TX or likewise, but still, its german, its going to hit what you point it at. Add this with a bit of tuning from Webley, and your onto a winner :o Like I said, just want some decent wood for it now, to make it look nice :withstupid:

I am not a fan of underlevers though, I like my break-barrels, but I do like the Airarms underlever (trying my hardest to think of its name) nikkle coloured barrel, Walnut stock as standard, .177.... grrr can't think of it now, but although thats heavy, it certanly hits the target well over 80yards....

You're thinking of the ProSport. What a gun, just a shame they're right handed only.. Oh well, Nick jenkinson bodged up a lefty version which was ok to shoot. They're still quite heavy though.
My 77 I tuned myself - I did 2 years of engineering and was going to be a gunsmith after all!!

Agreed on the S210 - it's not bad at all, just wish I had the adjustable stock too. And although ugly, it is the most functional and practical non custom stock I have used. Not bad for a girls gun!!!

Cool, you should do it'll be fun..

I'm a .177 man mostly - Bisley Magnums ........thhhhhwAAAAK! Although I'm very intruiged by my bro in law's .20. He used to shoot .177 for years, after I'd convinced him and showed him what it could do. well, that and the fact that one night we went out and he picked up my gun and hit a spinner with 10/10 shots on the first time he used it, and then carried on to hit only 3/10 shots with his own gun in .22!

That gun was a rather lovelly Daystate mk3. And he mainly bought it because it was gorgeous, well reputed and he'd owned a PH6 before it. I did lots of 'I told you so' when he came back from the shop wondering why he'd bought a .22 and he found it great mostly, but some shots were just not possible. The thing that clinched it was that he took his son out hunting with a .177 S400 and his daystate, and saw a 55 yd rabbit, and had to borrow the .177 to make the shot! That night he put it up for sale on an airgun forum and got an S410 in a custom stock - .177!!

He has now still got the S410 action, but swapped the custom stock and the S400 single shot action for a 4 month old .20 cal Theoben rapid 12 and is pretty conviced by it. That I am amazed by, because he thinks it's the ugliest rifle ever made, but it does it's job and that's why he loves it. I said he should also like my S210 on those grounds!

Got to admit, I like the .20!

Shot a .25 FAC once, my god, what a thump that makes!
I like AirArm 4.52mm (.177) they went great in the S200 and the S400, but I like cheap pellets in the HW95, don't ask why, but the cheaper ones seem to go better than the more expensive ones...
