Just spent the last few hours laid under the old mini ( a recent purchase) changing the selector rod oil seal, what a b***h of a job!!!!
Anyway, I noticed the exhaust is a LCB with CAT and back side exit box and the "Y" piece must have clobbered something hard in the hands of a previous owner as it's alsmost flattened, then noticed the "Y had been "bodge" welded to the two down pipes (bloody cowboys).
So, I'm thinking lets look at a complete new "sporty" exhaust system but what to go for? Standard, Stainless, etc. etc.
What's the best to go for? and if I start from the LCB back, are there any special things to consider, i.e. are there any special tapping points for the CAT, Injection system etc?
Any help/guidence would be appreciated.
PS - Car is 1998 Mini Cooper MPi (AEG Conversion with 5 speed gearbox?
