Hey
Today discovered that my mini was running on TWO cylinders last time. To be honest, I have quite a bit of respect for the engine if it could drive the car with two people in it on two cylinders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, its all smooth now that I corrected the problem and solid-fixed the exhaust!
New problem (Who would have thought?!?!):
My engine steady bolt is stripped, so I got another one, and I started screwing it into the block, and its as if the whole inside thread on the block is stripped. There is now no way I can secure the engine!!!!!!
So anyway, any ideas on how I can steady the engine, not using that hole?? Preferably cheap!!!
And you thought things couldnt get worse...

They go from the thermastat housing to the bulkhead, but saying that, youd have to get the other type for the wrong hand drive cars...

are you talking about the engine steady underneath the master cylinder to the drivers side end of the block? if so, the mini shop london do a repair kit, see inside cover of minimag, bolts to clutch casing! very easy! under £20
if you mean a different one, tell me to hush! haha

That's the one!
But keep in mind that for 20 pounds I could get a ultimate steady Oh well I'll still look into that repair kit!
Thanks!

the ultimate steady goes at one end of the engine, the one you've broken at the other, so you will need both anyway i think!,have you got a picture of the engine bay so i can see, i assume its a LHD car? or is it RHD?

We'll see really...
Im definitely gonna put it up for sale for what I paid for it (1300), thats not including all the other C**p i bought for it!!
If it doesnt sell in a few months, I'll lower to 1000, or buy accessories and leave the price.
If after that it still doesnt sell, I'm keeping it!
Also, minis are going if I find a bug or sumin whose owner wants to exhange!

The car is RHD, the regular normal steady is ineffective now. I don't mind whether I get an ultimate that goes on the right or on the left, as long as it doesnt need to use the hole that is stripped
