So an extra 3000 GBP for a quaife transfer box???!!!!!! I'd go Promotive and use a chain to save that kind of money for something like another Mini and an R1 engine...

is there any down sides to running a chain then?

really interested in the pro-motive kit now...

need to adjust it and lube it but its super easy to do and possibly it makes more noise than a transfur box but i dont know that for sure as i've never heard a car with one fitted...

well the subframe is definitely modified, I've no idea what the autorities would think about an aftermarket subframe though

I've ridden in lots of taxis in Kuala Lumpur - how can the same authorities that govern them be so strict on modified cars?
Cant wait to come back again - met loads of mini enthusiasts last time I came, they took me down to the market area where you can buy in car entertainment for great prices.

2 of the guys I work with when I come over have modified civics with serious horsepower, but prefer to cruise at really low speeds. Its only when we go down near the Imbi Plaza that they rev them up a bit !!

Love the look of this kit, not too bad price wise really. All you need is a mini and an R1 engine so overall Drive in-Drive out standard to R1 at about £10,000. More fun than an Astra thats all i can say.

Nice to see somebody know's the place a bit
Illegal can always be settled here, there is always an officer that will be happy to go home with some cash bonus against a signature, there's lots of illegally modified and illegally approved modified cars on the road. Just like your traffic fines, you get great discounts if you pay on the spot, just dont ask for a receipt :)

I'll still look at what's legal the right way round, but its usually a PITA to do things right here
