any tips on replacing the drivers side floorpan? Im getting fed up of feeling like fred flinstone and am trying to find the best and economical way of fixing the floor. I am not looking to make it a showcar but want it to be safe and sound.....is buying a new floor pan the only option or is fabrication cheaper and just as sound? around how much will it cost to replace at a proper bodyshop? :(

The best way is to replace the panel with a new one. Each quadrant of the floor is available as a separate piece for just such repairs. This is one panel that is typically trimmed to fit so buying an aftermarket panel will probably work just as well as buying Rover, Heritage, or M-Machine. I could not begin to guess the cost of professional installation. I did my own welding and painting.
