Hiya everyone.
New mini owner after a 17 yr gap.
I am 34 yrs old and work as a train driver on the channel tunnel , and I have 4 kids , 14 - 6 - 3 years and 4 mths old. The wife wanted a car to learn how to drive in. She wanted a 106 Quiksilver, I wanted a Cooper.
I WON...

I am looking forward to learning loads on this forum, and hopefully getting the best from my Cooper.

Speak to you all soon no doubt.
Neil

Hopefully is attached a pic of my newest addition.

Many thanks everyone.
I was lucky enough to get this car, although had to pay a big price for it, as mini's and in particular Coopers seem to be rocketing in price, and commanding big money.
This one has 42000 full Rover service history miles on the clock.
Had one girl owner for the last 5 years, who managed to put 11000 miles on it in that time, as just after she got it, she met a bloke got engaged and married him . He had a Porsche Boxster and she preferred to drive that.... Some people have no taste.
It has full leather interior with Cream piping. Walnut everywhere inside, and a CD autochanger under the rear seat.
All paperwork , and mot's were kept and verified the mileage. A bit of rust here and there, but not too bad at all.

Anyone know of a decent bodywork guy in kent, who is reasonable and very good. Would like to get thsi little Graphite mini upto scratch as soon as possible.

Pic of the seats should be attached hopefully.

As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to have it.
I have spent loads on little bits for it.
The Walnut gearknob was badly cracked, so thats been replaced.
The Green "Mini" winged bonnet badges are going with new Cooper Laurel ones coming soon.
The Black wipers are being replaced with a new chrome wiper set to match the rest of the Chrome on the Car. Why they were black I dont know.
Got myself a little "John Cooper" Signature tax disc holder to replace the DAF truck one that was on there...
Picked up some Smoked repeaters to replace the Orange ones on it now.
Purchased plans and templates for a bootlining kit from Ebay. Looks ok, and hopefully it will fit ok...
Spent a fortune on an engine treatment kit, to clean flush , coat , etc the tank fuel passage etc etc.. Also an Oil additive.
and a Vanilla smelly , which the wife wanted... (Rolls eyes and Tuts..)

Now just gotta wait for the stuff to arrive in the next few days and start putting it on when the weather gets better. We havent even cleaned it yet, as the weather has been so crummy down here.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Very nice Mini, lovin' the colour, you don't see many Coopers in that colour!

I presume as you work drivin' through the Tunnel that you live in South East Kent area? I'm just outside Dover. hopefully get to meet up one day.

Enjoy driving your new purchase, which I'm sure you will!
