First of all hello to everyone on the forum :(

I'm talking about the engines fitted on the various JDM Subaru Vivios, Honda Beats, Daihatsu Cuores etc etc

Has anyone ever tried this kind of conversion? Are there any links on the net regarding this?

These engines should be really light and compact plus they come with an air-con and most importantly a turbo :P not to mention the Japanese reliability. I think it would make an interesting conversion. I'm planning to carry it out during the summer if I find an engine but i wanted to know first if anyone else has done it.

Best Regards, Makis

cool.....the Honda 800 classic thought that way too and could hammer the C**p out of an a-series midget.......high reving heaven! good luck! would definately be worth trying out if you have the ability!
Won't you need an engineers report for the tax re-clasification though? (sorry if Im dumb and wrong!)

Various small Japanese K car engines have been fitted to Mini's in the past. I can think of a few Suzuki Cappucino versions and one or two others. I can't think of any links but you should be able to find some with a decent search engine.
