I don't think space is bad in the back, I can get in the back, although you have to be a bit bendy to get round the front seats. I don't carry passengers though; the rear seats aren't screwed on, they're just wedged in place! Also have no seatbelts so safest not to.
With the rear cover, the back you can use the existing clips and stretch the new cover round the frame, the bottom needs glue n stuff so I've just put mine on and stuck a couple of staples in underneath to hold the shape, since I'm not taking people in the back no need to secure them.
With classics, you'll most likely want to cut down the subframe front mounts a bit because otherwise you're practically lying down! I found they recline too far for me, so hacksawed the mounts down to the third hole. Not sure if my subframes are standard though, got them off ebay and my seats are WAY higher than mayfairjimmys (he has the same seats)

You could try and get piping to match the colour of the car
When I was lookng into getting them I asked about brown piping, took them a day or 2 to reply but they could do it for a lil bit extra (went for BRG in the end though, cheapness!)

Bean i think the piping might be too much. As for a back seat keep your eyes peeled for a clubman backseat, i know Lew had one but not sure what he did with it. I think it would look very nice in reggie though.
Just my opinion thoguh

hmmmm, i see your point
I just don't want the interior to turn into a mass of black, that's all
I'm going for black seats because I don't want a mass of beige. I think the interior of black would be a nice contrast against the bodywork. But I do see what you mean about the piping.
hmmmm, I guess I need to start photoshopping lisa's pictures, don't i!?
Clubman back seats? Not sure what that is

erm, back seats out of a clubman?
Just the same as any other minis but with a different pattern.
You could just have less piping. Personally, reversing the paint colours sounds good. Beige/black - black/beige
