Hi guys
A+ rebuild going quite nicely but aching back and sore knees prompted me to get hold of an engine stand, cheapo-ish jobby from the ever-helpful chaps at machine mart. Cant quite figure out how i should bolt the engine up to it tho...been looking for pics and seen one very blurry setup which looks like it uses the two oil filter bracket holes plus some others (perhaps alternator bracket mounting holes?) without using the arms that come with the stand. Would these be strong enough to hold the engine with gearbox and head etc attached? even if so, i couldnt line my stand's plate up to get any bolts through the slits on the mounting plate anywhere near these holes.
Grateful for any thoughts as always!

You want to get hod of spitfire_bob, he made (makes) conversion plates which attach to the two alternator bolt holes on the fron of the block, I have one and they are the mutts... and you also see them being used in places like MED, Southam Mini & Metro center, andou would not surprise me if MSPD used them aswell...

Follow this link to bobs thread...http://www.theminifo...wtopic=5228&hl=

he also has them on ebay occasionally; One he's sold on ebay
