Dont think its just the motor bike ones that split often. I have had three on my vtech. Dont bother to replace them now. They seem to have good seals or no grease in them, so its not to much of an issue with it spitting crud everywhere.

The drive shaft is nearly level when normally sat, must just put strain on them with amount of travel it has?

How come normal cars dont have issues with these?

The only proper way of sorting this on the bike engined version is to lower the car or lower the engine/diff within the car this will reduce the angles on the driveshaft especially the left as the angles are already severe without any suspension movement

The vtec car is more differcult as the problem here is the extremely short driveshaft even though they are nearly horizontal at standstill the angles on the drivehafts changes dramatically as the suspension moves up and down, these same cv's won't have a problem on the original vtec car as it's far wider meaning the longer driveshafts angles are much less

Just realised I've already answered this

Cheers
David

i know this is the problem, but is there going to be a kit made or block system or whatever to be made , my car is extremly low and wont go any lower so only thing that can be done is lower the engine, but im not going to take a car that cost me £18,000 apart just to release ive done it wrong or by putting it an inch lower somewhere ill ruin something else......

no guidence is being giving here.....

just relieased this is what ive asked in the first place.....

I lowered the car, lowered the engine and used the flexible stretch over type cv boots and had no problems afterwards.
I used sierra inners and citroen ax/ peugeot samba on the outers but cut the first convulation off so they sat neat and didnt foul the rear hub carrier tube ehere the shaft goes into the arm.

Rather offensive post removed. Can everyone try to be a bit more polite to each other, considering the idea of this forum is to be helpful.

Mr Spoonz is getting angry with me, what I said previous to the magic driveshaft thing was a genuine answer, I forgot I had already answered this thread previously and said so, but I left it on as it was answering the vtec question as well

Why he getting annoyed at me I don't know
