Hi, new here and straight away a (for me anyway) tough problem.
I've got a MPI with an engine that's fibrates. This causes the whole body to fibrate a specialy the steering rack and the dashboard. Now so far this is what i've done. I've changed all the engine mounting rubbers for OEM ones. Changed the clutch two times. With one set it was worse second set it was a little better but not by a lot. I've made sure that the subframe isn't fauling the body anywhere. I'll be replacing the flywheel today becase it has some marks on it from a somebody hitting it through the statermotor hole.
The engine fibrates less then the body? The fibrations are at its worse at idle, 1800, 2500 and 3200 RPM.
I hope some of you out there can help me or have had simular problems.
Cheers

If the clutch has been changed at any point its probibly the fact that the flywheel is out of balance.
And minis do Vibrate, its a trate, lol

I've fitted a new clutch and flywheel and it's still the same. The set is brand new and orignal rover, so it should be balanced. How is it possible that the engine sends its vibrations to the car? The subframe isn't toughing the body anywhere. Could the subframe be bent? And thus be mounted under pressure? I'm still puzzeld as to how the body vibrates more than the engine. It's driving me nuts.
