hi,

i plan to rub down my subframes during the hols n cover wiv hammerite, but just wonderin where to jack the car up??

i'm goin to lift it wiv 2 scissor jacks, n then prop it up wiv bricks....but just cant think of newhere other then the subframes to rest the car, but obviously i cant use the subframes as i need to rub them down

also, i like the looks of arches when they r body coloured wiv the finishing rubber between them and the bodywork, but tryin to save money so am thinking of keepin the original black plastic arches and just spraying them...would i be able to fit the finishing rubber n how would i do it?

thanx in advance

Get yourself a scaffolding plank and cut it in two, then you can get the car up on bricks ? ( axle stands ) under the ront and rear parts of the floor pan, there will be enough contact with the plank to prevent any damage to the floor. Also if you are going to use bricks, make sure you cross them, ie, two front to back then two side to side, two front to back etc...

But to be honest the best way to clean/refurb subframes, is to drop them out
