Are the spi lambda sensors the same as mpi lambda sensors? Im really confused because most of the mini stores sell lambda sensors for around £70. Whereas minisport do them for £32. Why would they sell them so much cheaper?

They have too many in stock?

They were selling bundles of SPI kit at knock down prices a few year's back, perhaps they bought up old stock or they're from carb conversions - not that they'd be selling then as new if they were.

There should be no difference between MPi and SPi. The one that Minisport show on their website 'looks' to be the genuine OEM replacement and if so, is a bloody good bargin!! I know Minisport bought up a fairly big chunk of the surplus stock from the Rover group sell off.

Avoid the cheapo universal jobbies altogether!!

yes like sprocket said, avoid the cheap universal ones altogether. the minisport one looks like a genuine one, so thats OK. the ones i'd go for are either Bosch sensors or the genuine Rover ones if i can get hold of them
