I've been looking to buy new rims for my mini, I'm wondering though whats the largest rim size that people attempt without major modifications to bodywork. I would love to fit the speedline 2108 if possible, they are 14". I realize that most people fit 13" wheels, but cannot find any rally looking wheels in this size. Thanks

It's not so much the wheel that's the problem it's the tyre your going to have to wrap round it...
Even on 13"s the tyre profile is fairly skinny, being 175/50x13, and then what one could consider farily extensive cutting being done to the front arches..
There are know instances of 14's and even 15's being fitted, in fact there's a post on here somewhere with some 15's on a mini but they don't harf look silly, but can't find it.
The major restriction is the rear arches, If you can get the wheels under there without modifying the body, then there is a good chance you'll get them under the front without having to remove too much of the front wing.
ooh... PS you'll obviously need the correct PCD and offset on the wheels.. see FAQ's

Hmm with the tyres as well it is beginning to look a bit silly, and I'm not sure low profiles would suit a mini!?

i have 13's on my Clubby and they ruin the performance although it cruises well, apart from that they are very close to the suspension on the rear, i wouldn't have thought you could get 14's on without wrapping a rubber band round them, or losing the rear subframe.

as we know minis suspension isnt exactly the best in the world, lol but the bigger the wheel you get the less rubber you get so itle be even more bumpy and unless youve got soem tarmac easter like phil then you mini will be considerably slugish

Or you could check out Force Racing for some nice 10"s or 12"s in a motorsport sort of style. Although they may be fairly pricey.
Do you mean multispokes like these: (on my brother's FIAT)rally looking wheels
