Hi,

When my engine is not runnig, the battery shows 12v

when my engine is running it also shows 12v

when i swiched on my head lights it shows 11v

but I have been running like this for an almost year(not so much in nights)

Is this a problem,any body have an idea about this.

Yes it is, with the engine running you should be showing 14.4 volts at the gauge.

The headlights will always cause the indiated voltage to drop a little. It's physics.

So does that mean something wrong with my alternator?

Shall I overhaul the alternator?
