It's been a while. Time for an update. I finally had a chance to go pick up the shell this past weekend. The guy doing the bodywork is an absolute artist. Can't tell where he's patched anything up. It all looks just like from the factory... Except the paint is a bit nicer.
Now the fun begins....

Wow! It's been a long time since an update. We had a busy weekend installing the lump.
I'm a "bottoms up" kinda guy.
With the limited space and non removable grill, I figured it was the easiest way.

First time on the wheels in almost a year.
Her bottom side is almost as pretty as the top.
She's ready for another 40 years of abuse.
Sorry for the poor quality images. I've been busy getting a Moke-burn and adding to the hole in the ozone. She runs, turns, stops exactly as she should. Only issue has been the pesky pedal covers slipping off. And, if that's the worst she can throw at me, I'm doing okay.
