I'm Steve. I'm thinking about buying a mini for my first car and decided to sign up to the forum to learn more about the car. Hopefully I'll be getting one pretty soon

I live in Walsall, but I work in Brownhills which isn't far from you miniman5.
I've been searching around on ebay, some good deals on there but I wouldn't know what to look for if I went and viewed one. When I get some more cash together I'll probably hunt around on ebay and on here. Some good deals in the For Sale forum, and I'd feel a bit better buying from people who tend to know what they're talking about
I found the forum via another mini forum. (Not sure if I can mention the name?)

I'm only 18. I would have been driving the end of last year, but I got sacked from work Last one in, first one out C**p. So that put me back about 6 months. If it wasn't for that I'd already have my min  How old are you?

Hey, good luck with your mini search.
Did you actually do anything wrong where you worked, because they can't just sack you for being the last one they hired.

I wasn't sacked sorry, I was made redundent. Got some money from it and I needed to pay some loans off, so I agreed. It worked out of in the end I suppose.

In that case you know its against the law for them to re hire someone in your position within a year.
The same happened to me, but I decided against sueing for reasons only known to me and my mates who worked within me, but I'll say that I wasn't the most health and safety conscious worker!!!

I didnt' know that, but I doubt they will be hiring anyone soon. The company has lost alot of trade due to new competitors in the area. Atleast I don't have to get up at 6:30 in the morning anymore eh?
