Today has been a long day, i met up with my friend and colleague from work at 8am on a cold dreary Sunday morning when i would normally in bed, doh!, we made our way over to the garage and he had a good look around my car and has offered to do my welding for the cost of his welding wire (result!)
He left later on so i set about preping the old girl for the welding to the floorpans first off.
Bye bye interior!:
Next, Austin Morris always put this coating on the floorpans..
It doesn't really do anything and needs to go in order to the new floorpans to be put in:
I then stripped back all four of 'em:

Well here's an update on some bits and bobs i've acquired over the last few weeks:
MG Metro seats -
The way the material is brushed makes them look dirty.. they aren't.
Disc Hub assemblys -
She will no longer be running on 10's or drums now 8-)

Right then..
Well she has now arrived at my mates house where the resto is now imminent.
We managed the 7 mile journey almost trouble free.
(Trailer board socket fell off at the end of the road.. Some rearranging and we were off again )
Some pictures of this evening...
So yeh.. the fun really does start now!

Before we started today -
Door off -
Some nice surprises were had -
The passenger side door, it's bad, but not that bad -
Should be able to repair it.

She's not too bad...
But rather nasty in some places.
These are some pictures of the rust
Everyone says she's pretty good compared to most though.
