While my '77 clubby is patiently waiting for the '80 clubby's engine to be stuck under its bonnet, is there anything worth changing now while the engine is out of the car, eg stuff that looks ok but if it goes will be a ******* to work on with the engine in situ? Or stuff worth doing to the car while it is engine-less and so access to engine bay is good? My list so far includes:

Cylinder head bypass hose
Bottom rad hose
Clutch (maybe)
Er thats it really.

engine mounts would be a good idea. maybe cv boots as well. if you do the clutch while thats off its much easier to do the oil pump which is only about £15

You might have already thought of/done this, but Id change the diff oil seals and fit new gaskets on the drive flanges. The better kit for the rod change oil seal worked well for me, diddnt have any oil leaking problems at all.

Sorry if this was obvious and youve already done them, hehe. Im still very new to minis/mechanics.
