quick little update on the car its been a while a know lol but working out side is not the best at this time. any way got my roll cage in just need to fit the door bars but they will be one of the last things to go on, fitted the dash and every thing worked :shifty: just need to cover the steering colum some how. pulled the fuel system out and doing it all again didnt look nice bit of a mess. should get that sorted in the next 2 weeks or so.

Looking at how fast this car will be and how nice it looks makes me sick. Did it cost alot? I mean for the work you've done. I read that the car cost you 100 pound

Awesome car mate, just read through the thread.

One suggestion, if you decide you dont like your bonnet, you can install a bump over the end of the motor, as per the Vita Mini - that looked cool.

What type of racing will you be doing?

How heavy are the motor and box combos compared to a Mini motor?

thanks mate the mini cost me 250 and the calibra i bought for the engine was 100, i have had the car for about 4 years now and i have spent round about 4000 i think dont realy want to total it all up, sill got to spend some more as well, but its well worth it.

cobra looked in to putting a hump in the bonnet but wasnt to keen on that thats why i had that one made it seems to be growing on me, i might take it to some track days but i thing that will be it, more taking it to shows and meets. not sure on the weight of the engine and box.

Well its been a long time since i was on here, been using the 16vmini site mainly, sorry haha

Any way you's may ask yes i still have the mini, something i will never sell will get rid of the wife first ;D. Big changes with the car though still a vauxhall 2.0 8v engine but it now has mahle forged pistons, xe rods, arp bolts, t28 turbo fitted should give me some more BHP to play with, yes the word is should, the car is still not finished   but getting there, also pulled the cars wiring loom, dash and suspension out, was not happy with any of it. I have fitted protech coil overs and i am in the process of fitting a bmw mini dash. Have not started on the loom yet just been gathering parts for that.

progress is a bit slow, I am working away from home now so that does not help but i try to spend as much time as i can when i am home doing the car.

Unfortunately i am away at the moment so can not upload pictures so will try and do that when i get back.

cheers :D
