Right - I'll start with a simple question for my first one. Have spent the last hour reading up on the injection section so I think I'm getting the hang of what I have purchased! Have downloaded a copy of that Rover MEMS which I hope will be useful.
My 93 SPI seems to run OK - a very slight mis at idle but it probably needs a service and the exhaust link pipe has a big hole in it. Once have sorted this out and after a few months of fixing a few other jobs my attention will stray to "tuning".
The car already has a K&N open type filter fitted, LCB (i think - need to check that - I can see a Y piece under the car) and a playmini exhaust.
How much more can I do before I get beyond what the ECU can deal with? The engine has 75K on it so I know the valve guides will be shot. Whilst fixing those I was thinking gas flowed head, 1.5 roller rockers as a starting point. I see that you have to be careful with cams- although that's an engine out job so may not get that far - just yet!!
Thanks
Steve

As long as you dont go daft with the camshaft or fit a Race spec tunnel port head, you can do pretty much what you want, there are ways round the fueling. Recon on around 87bhp before you need to start considering getting more involved with the technicalities of the injection system. To get that on 1275 or 1293cc is mostly a fully modified engine with the uprated cam. If you dont fit the cam, dont wory about any issues.
