Where would be the best place to take a switched live and ground from on my MPI? I need to wire in the oil pressure gauge but dont want to be taking power from the wrong places.

i don't know the wiring lay out of a mpi but there is normally a good live at the starter solenoid (don't forget a fuse)
a earth can be pucked up by drilling a self tapper into the body or look for a earth point under the bonnet
