temp gauge sender unit

now that my nice head is on my mini, freshly painted aswell, heater tap hole drilled, i was wondering where the temperature sender does..

as you see on the picture there is no drilling for it, so can anyone, with a metro engine, please put up a picture where it should be, not that im worried about overheating, well not yet anyway...

do you mean the sender for the temp gauge as thats under the thermostat housing in the head

On lots of Metros (and some injected Minis) it screws into the same sandwich plate as the heater pipe comes out of. If you have drilled the heater outlet in the head I assume you aren't using the sandwich plate for the heater pipes so you won't have anywhere to fit it. You may have to drill and tap the head for it.
