hey there, i have a 1988 998cc Racing Flame. Just been stripped of most things. engine, interior etc. Front end needs replacing so im going all out for a flip front. Should be getting some adjustable shocks soon too. Rear ride heights enough to rival a monster truck. Then a full respray shouldnt be too long after. During the summer im going to spend a heap of wedge on the engine, still keeping it 998cc as im only 17 and i like to have as cheap insurance as possible. Might even go back to 10" minilites instead of the 12" superlites i have at the mo. U never know :)

going to respray the shell myself, hiring a compressor out for a weekend, can only do it once the flip fronts finished tho. should i keep it black still, or should i go for british racing green, the cars original colour?

i have the RSP (Rover Special Product ) Cooper, the successor to the racing flame in red/white but with a 1275cc engine. I think the choices of colour for these models were black, red, brg and white. black ones are hard to come by, i dont really like it in white, reds what i have and i think it looks great, but brg looks more civilized. so really its upto you.

thats what i thought mate, a friend of mine was going to re-shell his mini, but has decided to keep with his original shell, the '67 shell is mint, with the front end already prepared for the installation of a flip front, theres a small crack in the rear right wheel arch, but thats going to be re-welded for me, ive found 2 garages i can use in about a month or so`s time, so im well chuffed :)
