Worth it? Its the one thing I am not sure about, as they are expensive (for my budget of nothing) but I have heard good things. Any views? Its for a 998cc city.

worth it when fitted with a full stage one kit, otherwise pointless...!
basically to fit an LCB you need a new inlet manifold anyway. and the bottom won't fit in your standard link pipe or back box, so you'll need to replace them. And then as your engine will breath better you'll need a new carb needle, and maybe a K&N air filter to get it running properly it will need carb adjusting a bit...
But yes they're worth it then, up to 25% more power and 10% more torque!

Right. i am guessing that insurance companies are not so keen then if they give that much of a performance increase! I already have a claim (not my fault, but I have got the blame) so even on a classic policy mine is 650quid, standard! Might have to give it a miss then. Cheers!

Cooper free flow? Might look into that....... Might not be QUITE so hefty insurance-wise.

Most insurers don't care about a stage1 conversion. Definitely use a Cooper Freeflow rather than an LCB for a 998.

Ok, I will look into it. As I have the engine out, its the right time to give her a new manifold, save ripping the lot apart again!

say it's modified to increase fuel efficiency, it does that too! Most insurers don't care about a stage1 conversion. Definitely use a Cooper Freeflow rather than an LCB for a 998.
