No idea about acid dipping but shot blasting worked for me. Just looked in Yellow pages and got them to leave the good paintwork intact.

They claim to damage 1 in 20 vehicles.
You are probably better off getting it plastic media blasted not sand blasted as media is kinder to the metal...

I have decides to get it shot blasted by a local classic car restoration company for Â£250 thats with the car sprayed in etching primer as well!!

plastic is good you get a nice smooth finish but you will have to wash the surface with a thinners as mine always have a plastic type dust coat. I dont get surface rust with that on it.
