No MG blocks ae the same as any other... The ONLY one which was reputed to be any different is the turbo block and I'm not 100% convinced of that.

And from the pictures... the cranks scrap..

All A+ blocks are the same. The pistons and cam are all that would be different if MG spec. Turbos are reputed to have a heat treated crank, but that's a bit vague.

The journals look a bit too rough to regrind. You could take it along to a machine shop for a better opinion close up.

No, they're ok. Its just muck and oil.
It'd clean up ok.

The thermostat housing is off a Morris Marina, I can tell you that.
