Hi guys, newbie to the site. Had my mini for a few years now and am just putting the finishing touches to my new engine ready for the summer. One thing I'm stuck on is how to secure the cables onto my HIF44 carb, would anybody be able to post any pics up to help me? Cheers guys,
Andy.

Hi, and welcome...

Now for a silly question,

Did the carb come off a metro, and did you take the bracket too... !

it should end up looking something like this.. .

Yellow, accelerator cable (which is actually a metro one, as it has the right end on it), black Choke.

...and before anyone say owt, yes I know it's a 38, but the connections are the same

Thanks people, on the carb I've got(bought it 2nd hand so don't know what it's off) the bracket is different to the one in your photo GuessWorks as the throttle cable goes to the left hand side and the choke to the right. Not seen this type of bracket before so just wondering about clips etc.
