Whats causing this? Could it be a dodgy starter or could it be that minispeed have sent me a high torque inertia type starter?

does the engine turn over at all, or does it just jam as soon as you try and start itIve got a flywheel with verto ring gear, and also a new, what i belive to be, high torque verto type starter. The problem is that the gear on the starter is only engaging on the flywheel by about 5/10 mm rather than the whole way.
Whats causing this? Could it be a dodgy starter or could it be that minispeed have sent me a high torque inertia type starter?

it sounds as if you got the wrong starterIt will engage and try to start it for a fraction of a second and will then just spin, it doesnt seem as if its engaging far enough
