I have a bright yellow N plate Sprite with a 1275 gt engine and all that jazz. It's heavily modded on the inside to include speakers in the back that leave no room for rear seats, a dvd player, screen and the smallest steering wheel in the world, but, as you may have guessed i have a little problem, no, it's not an itch and i will get better if i pick it! My indicator fuse keeps blowing it even blew a 20amp! i can't work it out there are no naked wires and it seems to only happen after approx. 20 - 25 secs. can you help me please my mot is due tomorrow.

i have this problem on and off, iv been blowing 35's! but i stuck my hand up behind the dash and gave all the wires a jiggle, i also rebuilt my rear window heater switch. this has cured it for the past couple of weeks. becarefull though, as on mine my brake lights stoped working at the same time as the indicators. i just leave my window heater on now, so then i can tell if the fuse has blown whilst im driving. just carry spares!

Ok, firstly don't start putting over rated fuses into circuits. This is dangerous foolishness and is how fires start (you too Psycho!).
It could be many things, but common faults with indicators include the hazard switch and he flasher unit. I believe your car has the late electronic flasher unit so it's less likely to be a problem than the earlier electro mechanical one was so I'd examine the hazard switch first. If the rear of the switch (after you pull the switch connector) is looking a little melted then it's toast. There is also a relay in your indicator system which could be faulty so have a butchers at that too.
