One of the locking nuts has become stupidly seized on Sir D. I have tried with extended wheel brace but to no avail, and my locking nut socket is now oval shaped instead of circular
Any ideas anyone?

You could replace the locking wheel nut tool, but maybe you ought to leave the locking wheel nut soak with some oil or whatever to try and free it up a bit?

Apparently you can get a universal socket for fancy security nuts.

I'd say a soaking would help for sure, also Ethel is right, places like Halfords sell them but will be pricey i reckon! snap on also do a nice set! I gather you most likely wont use the nut again after (considering the key is an egg now!) so you could *gently tap* a socket over it and try it that way (of course you could make it worse!) or angle grinder/hammer and chisel? brute force really!

I sledge hammered mine a few times then got an Impact Gun and it came off, i tried everything else and it basically was a last resort.

Firstly, tighten the 3 other nuts right up as far as you can. This sometimes helps by relieving pressure from the stuck one. Try again and if still no joy,
assuming the key or the mating face is screwed and its not going to come off....
do your locknuts have a sleeve on the outside that spins freely? If so, get an old screwdriver in there and hammer it down the side of the sleeve and break it off.
Get an impact socket (generally black coloured) slightly smaller than the overall diameter of the locknut. Get a BIG hammer and hammer it on. It will take some serious bashing, dont be afraid to hit it. Remember, you are re-shaing the steel of the locknut into the form of the ocket, it takes effort! Once in place, it should undo fine.

had exactly the same problem smack the nut a couple of times square on with a hammer to break the bond then use a hammer and chisel to rotate the nut off

Agreed, get some heat on it. It'll expand off of the stud

shock with a hammer then buzz it off with a gun always works for me
