Niether, go for the good old fashioned carb, so much easier and cheaper to work with and mod.

two. Multi-point really means twin-point. Injection minis are wack because they are full of emissions rubbish.

both pants...harder and more expensive to tune....lots and lots of extra equipment that gets in the way if you want to do anything more than look at your engine....like blue mini says...get the carb model

our club had a rolling road day last year we had
2 cooper single point cars
2 cooper twin point cars
my cooper carb
and a mg metro engined mini

all had a stage 1 kit . manifold , K&N filter , exhaust

the single point cars were making around 65 hp
the twin point cars were making around 67 hp
my cooper carb was making 70 hp
and the MG metro engined car was 78hp

so on these results go carb and MG metro is best

if you have got the money to tune one, go for an MPI, with the right - Slarke ECU priced at £900 it will outperform any carb, or SPI, just with the ECU alone..

But upgrading power, means upgrading gearbox, so it will soon add up!!

least with mpi you dont have to worry about the dizzy getting a millilitre of water on it and brakeing down in the poring rain :)

MPi definitely, SPi's are pants!

The MPi is properly developed whereas the SPi was just a quick fix to get it through the type approval.
