Watch me get this wrong, but I think the last 1275 minis before they went to injection had HIF38's
As for ram pipes, what you thinking of doing, a ram pipe inside a filter, a long ram pipe with no filter or a ram pipe all the way round to the front of the engine ?

Ive recently heard that the best ram pipes at the moment are the new types of stubby ones that can fit inside most decently sized air fillters. Ent got a clue where you can get these from though but Ive also seen an article in one of the Mini Magazines. Ill try and dig it out for you and put some info on here. I used a conventional rampipe that I found at a mini show on a modified SU carb with good results.

What your talking about is called a stub stack, and according to vizard are all that's needed. Its just a matter of getting hold of them... Minispares don't stock them any more, and I've not found anywhere that does.
