mark round the center of the inner arch and cut out, I used an angle grinder with a
cutting disc ( the thin type)

cut round the outer lip and remove the unwanted arch section, use a rule and place
it across the arch and touching the body mark where it touches and form an arc, measure
down from this line about 20mm and make another arch , then trim any metal below this
line, now cut back up to the first line to make tabs as in the above pic or you could make
a template , get some hard card the same size as the arch opening , put it against the arch
mark where it meets the floor and aound where it touches the arch, cut the arch out. place
the template on the outer panel line up with the floor then mark out, remove and mark down
about 20mm make another arch and continue as other option.

then fold up the tabs, trim so they are about 10mm wide

get a piece of thin sheet and bend it using your knee, weld this to the remaining inner arch

I then welded round the edge of the arch, then had to weld the fold slits

then clean up the welds and use a good primer

there you are, any more give me a message
