Hi, as i havnt seen it done before, I was just wondering if anyone has actually done it and got some decent gains from it.

I was thinking about using a 6" manifold for a DCOE weber carb but instead of using the carb use a set of Jenvey Twin Bodies (was thinking 42's) with the DCOE style flange.

I could then run it off a stand alone ECU, and either run Luminition ignition, or even run the ignition through the new ecu.

So, anyone tried it before? or and opinions on it?

cheers Jack

Yes people have done it before. There are a few injection kits for the Mini, there's a Webcon kit using their throttle body and a roller throttle body kit from one of the specialist Mini tuners to name only two varieties. The dyno results from the Weber install used to be on the Webcon site, don't know if they're still there,

Yes I have an SPI with a Webcon DCOE45 Throttle body on a 6" Manifold, controlled by a programmable SMT6 Piggy Back ECU from PerfectPower.com
Fantastic performance. With an SW5 cam it produces about 90HP at the wheels.

This sounds pretty interesting.

I have just finished setting up a Emerald ECU and Jenvey throttle bodies on my Dad,s Mk1 escort with a zetec in.

I would like to try something like this on my mini, but some of the write ups say its dificult with the siamese ports.

Anybody got any links or project pages?

I read that in Miniwold, right up to the bit "probably not a job for the beginner"

Seems very interesting, but I'd need to understand computers as well as cars (and I barely understand either!).

May mean no need to carry tools anymore just a laptop!!

and as luck would have it The Stig is selling something very like the pic above at the moment. have a look in the for sale section.

Best place to buy a trigger wheel is specialist components. they attach to where the crank damper is.
