Ok...this has very little to do with mini's par se but It is affecting my mini!

Stupidly I changed the plastic tyre valve caps for some groovy aluminum ones around two months ago, but I cant get the blighters off now! tried WD40 and pliers but no luck....I need to put some air in the front tyres. ANY IDEAS? I know I'm stupid!

locally head it, and get some mole grips on it, the only problem you might have is ripping off the valve

damned stuppid things....i should have known.....the reson why caps are plastic in the first place........hmm mole grips would end up ripping the valve off me thinks in this case........you rechon heating it up would have a difference.........then again rubber wheels in close proximity......gulp!

You have rubber wheels? Your car must be nice and quiet to drive!

You might be able to do it when you have two grips. One for the valve and one on the cap. This way if you turn each in the opposite direction you should be fine.

have tried this....the rubber on the valves themselves twist and if i lift these up and then clamp the brass valve the valve itself starts to shear....so they are pretty tight.....aghhhhhhh WARNING do not buy aliminium valve caps for your mini unless you put some grease or copper grease on them first!

If you had a dremmel (or similar) you could cut uo the side of the cap on oposite sides, then prize it off. a delicate operation though.
