Nope, it has never been seen before!! Well, one person has seen it, my mate David who is building a front engined R1 mini at the moment.

However, there is another pic of the back end if you look carefully in Ade's R1 post!!

The one you are thinking of is the twin R1 engined mini that belonged to Matt Fox.

As far as i am aware, mine is the lightest one so far at just 460Kg but should be interesting to see if the R1 minus is lighter...

thats great, how long it take you to build?

I started building the car in November 2003 and it was on the road around march 2004. However, I had a bit of time off ill over the xmas period. The longest time was spent doing the bodywork and getting it sprayed to my liking before putting the kit into the car. Also, quite a few parts had to go back to zcars as they didnt fit properly.

I reckon that you could build one in a couple of months quite easily. The thing that takes the time is planning/deciding which way to do things and then looking for the right parts and having the money to pay for them. I never like forking out too much in one go, so it took me a bit longer!!
