any one elses mini blow vapor out of the little hole in the rocker cover cap there is slight milky residue in the tappet area. i put this down to it being stood for about 8 months with out being started.

could it just be condensation as the sump oil is fine its just milky up the top and you can see a mit being blown out the little hole.

could the crank brether be blocked

sounds like your head gasket as the man said, which is causing oil and water to mix forming "minimayonaisse" mine went a couple of times last year, including at last years showdown, we changed it in a field with nasty hangovers you will go through oil and water and the car might get a little hot. i would take the rocker cover off and wipe all the mayonaise you see and see if it comes back

if you have a compression tester do a compression test, if two cylinders are a significantly lower than the other then the gasket will have gon! will take my compression tester with me to newquay, so you can havfe a play

The oil filler on the rocker cover is a breather for the engine, so nothing to be unduely worried about..

What you want to watch for is a build up of crankcase pressure which will start to force oil out of various gaskets and joints..

Milky residue, keep an eye on the temp, if it stays at the normal then there's nowt to get too concerned about, just monitor the water level in the rad just before you go every trip..

Head gaskets can go between oil and water ways without bothering the cylinders, or you can have one cylinder go into a waterway or oilway, or, or, or...

This sounds like water getting in the oil to me though,

Dave

if its been sat around it could be condensation like you say, but more likely head gasket. do an oil change and see if the mayo comes back to haunt you.
