You need a flywheel puller...
Undo the large center bolt, then attach puller with the three bolts, using a breaker bar and appropriate socket, tighten until flywheel shhots off.... mind your feet !
There's a post with some piccies somewhere....

i dont quite understand what your asking. to use the puller tou have to take the big nut off securing it to the crank and then remember to take the washer off behind this. then simply attach the flywheel puller and get it off. if its a bit tough bive it a bash with a rubber hammer around the edges just to break the lock it might have

thats it
i still have my clutch on the flywheel and didnt know if there were 6 bolts fastening the fly wheel to the crankshaft like on most cars.
but it is obviously just held there on the tapered shaft so i will get pulling tonight

ah gotcha,
You realy need one of these....
flywheel puller
It can be done with a three legged puller but you are likely to damage something..
also, make sure the slot is horizontal, cause if the C clip slips on the crank then you are shafted ( pardon the punn )

loads of it, and also the primary gear....and don't damage the transfer case as you will need that too...

I do recommend getting a puller. I tried getting it off without to no avail. And yeah Mini's are kind of impractical, but as are most english cars.

we managed to snap a puller trying to get the fly wheel of one of madmax's engines! i wouldnt perosnally use the 3 legged puller as guess works said its more likely to do harm than good! especially with the extreem torques need to get these things off
