dont know a lot about these to be honest - all I can suggest is you trawl youtube and see if anyone has videod their mini with one or similar.
my engine is only a 1000cc - but it has got a yamaha badge on it
edit - did a quick search and found this - its a beemer but what a great re-verb ! My theory is that play mini may well 'tune' their exhausts to get the best sound.

I was thinking about a twin exit DTM upswept, what would I need, in terms of manifold, connecting pipe?
& can you get a centre exit twin DTM upswept?

not too loud very throaty the odd pop on a down shift etc. (still not great on a long trip)
the engine is a very strong fast road 1340cc tho with a cone filter and there's a lot of inductiuon noise too.
my mate ran a similar engine but 1275 with a k+N and straight thru cheap exhaust from mini spares lcb ending in a cheap ish stainless boxter style back box, it sounded awfull!! brill for showing off but far too loud and backfired when decelerating. (ignition timing was perfect!!)
the police stopped him twice and he finally changed it to a twin box system with almost no noise!!
